What is
Transcendental Consciousness |
Veda and Vedic Literature Veda means knowledge. It is knowledge in its totality. Veda is knowledge of the whole and knowledge of the parts. If you study the mechanism of how a car works, you will see how all the different parts together make it possible for the car to run. You will notice how certain specific laws of nature cause the car to work. The Veda is more than just knowledge about specific laws of nature. It is also the knowledge of the togetherness of all the laws of nature. This is what is meant by the word "Veda". It is knowledge in its totality. This knowledge is structured within the consciousness of all of us. What can the Veda do for me? It can do anything for you, because it is knowledge in its totality. If you know how to drive, you know how to use the steering wheel, the accelerator, the clutch and the brake. If you don't know how to do this, you can't drive a car. So, it is knowledge and your familiarity with it, which gives you the ability to drive a car. Everything you do in life, depends on your knowledge. Therefore knowledge is the most important thing in your life. The Veda is total knowledge, present in Transcendental Consciousness. Therefore the Veda is the most important thing in your life. It's your own self-referral consciousness, the source of infinite organizing power, the source of all thoughts, actions and behaviour. If you know the unified source of all your intelligence, then this field of pure knowledge, the Veda, can do anything for you. All you have to do to become familiar with this field of pure knowledge, is to make contact with it. The Veda can do anything for you, because it is it is a field of all possibilities. Any expression, any form can arise from the unified field of consciousness. It is like the formless sap in the soil, which can transform itself into different flowers, leaves, branches, fruits, plants and trees. How to make use of the field of all possibilities You might ask: "if I already possess all knowledge within myself, why don't I use it?". Answer: You don't use it, because you're not aware of the silent source of intelligence within. That's because your senses (seeing, hearing etc) draw your attention to the objects they perceive. You see a flower, a car, a house, a mountain. They create an impression in the mind. Any impression is a mental activity. This activity in the mind overshadows the state of non-activity, which is Transcendental Consciousness, the home of all knowledge (Veda) within you. For this reason you don't make use of your full potential. Your brain-physiology is not used to being aware of this silent field of all organizing power during your activities. Turning within to the field of pure knowledge What is needed, is to turn the attention within and contact that inner field of pure knowledge, which is infinite freedom and bliss at the same time. It is the lack of contacting this source of pure knowledge, Transcendental Consciousness, the Veda, which is the reason why you don't use your full potential. You need the experience of Transcendental Consciousness, the home of all knowledge, which is already available at the source of thought. A very easy and natural way to experience this, is through the practise of the Transcendental Meditation technique. It gives the experience of the source of thought, the source of all knowledge, the Veda and this invariably leads to complete unfoldment of your inner potential. Vedic Literature The Veda has been cognized by seers (Rishi's), who saw the Veda in their own self-referral consciousness. The Veda has been recorded many thousands of years ago and today these impulses of the Veda, (Richa's) can be read in the Vedic Literature. Many of the Vedic texts have also been commented upon by modern translators and Vedic scholars. All these different interpretations of the Veda have not brought out the essence of the Vedic teaching in such a way as has recently been brought to light through Maharishi's Vedic Science. The Veda is its own commentary Maharishi Mahesh Yogi says that the Veda is its own commentary. This is Maharishi's Apaurusheya Bhasya (uncreated commentary), which informs us that the Veda is a perfect science. It's completely orderly and in its sequential development, the Veda explains itself. Maharishi's pioneering discovery shows that everything in the universe unfolds in a perfectly sequential way. The knowledge of it is in detail available in Maharishi's books. (see links at the bottom of the page) Maharishi's Vedic Science would not be complete if it would only give the knowledge in books. Maharishi's Vedic Science is always studied together with the practise of Maharishi's Vedic Technology, which are the Transcendental Meditation and TM Sidhi programme, including Yogic Flying. Veda in the physiology Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam, the first sovereign ruler of the Global Country of World Peace, discovered that the Veda and the Vedic Literature is at the basis of everyone's physiology. The Vedic Devata are present in structure and function in our physiology. These are the finest impulses of creative intelligence, responsible for the functioning of the entire creation. This discovery by Maharaja Adhiraj Raja Raam is regarded by scientists as one of the most significant discoveries during the 400 years of modern science. It explains in detail that there is a one-to-one correspondence between the functioning and the structure of the 40 aspects of the Vedic Literature and the functioning and structure of our physiology.
You know the Veda by being Veda. You cognize
Veda by being Veda. Cognition of the Veda is on its own level, and that
is that level in which we get into the details of wakefulness. Veda is
the detailed structure of pure wakefulness, and there the intellect
does not go.
